what did karl lagerfeld say about kate's fashion? i just thought that he said she was pretty i can't remember but i feel like the only person who can't stand when she get's called a 'fashion icon' or whatever because her style isn't really on point enough to be iconic.
He did say that she is pretty, but there was a quote that I swear I read where he said that her fashion wasnt great. Then he also said that Carole is “sexier than her daughters” (not bad but some might see it as an insult) and he said that he doesnt like Pippas face and she should only show her back.
You are not the only person who cant stand when people say that her clothes are iconic. Diana was an icon. Kate Moss is an icon. Jackie Kennedy, Princess Margaret, Audrey Hepburn, Princess Grace- they were all icons. I think that Kate gets clumped into the same group as Michelle Obama- someone who people think should be an icon because of her age and position, but as far as actual clothes go, she isnt anything special. Dont get me wrong, when Kate gets it right, she really gets it right. But 99% of the time she falls between “meh” and “nope”. And lets face it, the hype has nothing to do with Kates style, any woman William could have married would have the same hype surrounding her. You dont have to look any further than Cressida Bonas to see that dating a prince makes you a de facto style icon no matter how horribly you may dress.
